License Description:
Requirements to obtain an Air Traffic Control Tower Operator certificate include passing a written test. Besides the basic certificate, to act at any operating position, the individual must pass a practical test on control tower equipment and its use. To obtain a facility rating, the individual must have at least six months experience and pass another practical test. This certificate is valid until surrendered, suspended or revoked, although the individual must maintain current experience to work under the certificate.
