License Description:
Nuclear Facility Operators are required to have either training or experience to become licensed. They must pass a medical exam, a written test, and an operating test. Although the license is granted for 6 years, licensees must pass another medical exam every two years and an operating test annually. Also, they must undergo requalification training while employed. Nuclear Facility Senior Operators have additional experience and pass another exam to be promoted from Nuclear Facility Operators.
